The BWH Green Thumb Club is our exclusive rewards program for new and experienced plant parents alike!  Every purchase earns you points that you can cash in for store credit, rotating merch & supplies, and more. 

Here's a lot of FAQs:

Q: What happened to my old points?
Your points transferred to the new program and were automatically converted into the updated earning and spending system. The number you see now may look a little different depending on how you earned or redeemed points in the past, but the value carried over and nothing was lost.

Any unused coupons you had are still active and will be getting sent via email soon!

Q: How do I earn points now?
You’ll earn 1 point for every $1 spent, plus bonus points for things like reviews and referrals. Your earning rate depends on your tier:

  • Sprout ($0–$249/year): 1x points

  • Grower ($250–$499/year): 1.25x points

  • Green Thumb ($500+/year): 1.5x points

Make sure you’re logged into your account so all your activity counts.

Q: How do I redeem points?
You can redeem points either at checkout or in your account dashboard. Every 100 points = $3 in store credit. Store credit is redeemable in 100-point increments, up to a $30 value per order. It expires 14 days after redemption.

Q: Is there a limit to how much I can redeem at once?
Yes—redemptions are capped at $30 per order.

Q: Do points expire?
Yes—points expire after 11 months of inactivity. Shopping or redeeming at least once a year keeps your points active!

Q: I shop in-store. Can I still use my points?
Yep! You can redeem 165 points for $5 off or 325 points for a free Dirt Bag. Just let the team know at checkout and they’ll help you redeem on the spot.

Q: I redeemed a reward but didn’t use it. Can I get those points back?
Be sure to apply store credit before you hit “Pay Now”—that’s what activates it. If you forgot or changed your mind, our support team can help return the points to your balance.

Q: Can I use rewards during a sitewide sale?
Yep! We built this so your rewards points are yours all the time to us, even during sales and promotions.

Q: How do I move up a tier?
More plants! Your tier is based on how much you’ve spent in the past 12 months. The more you shop, the more you unlock.

Q: I had a coupon I never used. Can I still use it?
Yep, for sure! Your coupon is still valid if it hasn’t expired. If you don’t have it saved in your email, you won’t be able to find it in your account anymore—but not to worry. We’ll be emailing any unused, unexpired coupons to you for safekeeping and are working on getting those to show in your account again. Thanks for your patience while we sort that out.

Q: How do referrals work?
When you refer a friend, they’ll get a 20% off coupon to use on their first order. They must be a new customer for the referral to count. Once their purchase goes through, you’ll earn 300 points (that’s $9 in store credit). There’s no cap—refer as many people as you’d like!

Q: How do I know what tier I'm in?
You can check your tier status anytime by logging into your account. It’s shown right at the top of your loyalty dashboard along with your current perks and how much more you’d need to spend to reach the next tier.

Q: When do I move up a tier after hitting a spend milestone?
Tier updates happen automatically once your qualifying spend passes the threshold. As soon as your order processes, your new tier will unlock and you’ll start earning at the updated rate on your next order.

Q: Do I earn points on gift card purchases?
No—points are only earned on physical products. Buying a gift card won’t earn points, but if you use a gift card to pay for an order, you will earn points on the value of the products you buy with it.

Q: Do I earn points on shipping or taxes?
No—points are awarded based on your product subtotal, before tax and shipping.
